My passion for stained glass developed whilst completing an apprenticeship at a Tiffany lighting studio between 1991-1994, involved in all aspects of the design, creation and repair of Tiffany lamps and lighting.
I diversified into the extremely interesting area of stained glass and leaded windows, working for several companies in London, Jersey and North Wales. I quickly found that I had a gift for all aspects of work including: design, commissions, restoration, conservation and repair of leaded stained glass and leaded windows, including commercial, architectural, domestic and ecclesiastical restoration and repair, and both private and commercial commissions.
After many years of perfecting the art of stained glass I found myself becoming fascinated by the diversity and flexibility of hot-glass working, in the form of fused glass, slumping and casting, using a Kiln to produce both decorative and practical pieces of fused glass art, Including glass Bowls, plates, coasters, wall tiles and wall art, and even the incorporation of contemporary fused glass with traditional stained glass techniques to create some beautiful and fascinating windows.
In 2005 "Glass Inspirations" was born, specialising in the restoration, repair and commission of stained glass and leaded windows, the design and creation of high quality, contemporary and traditional fused glass, stained glass and leaded windows.
