The
images above show the side opening window and door panels which were
designed, created and installed for a client in Surrey. The side panel was
a smaller replica of the door panel and was encapsulated within a double
glazed unit. The door panel consisted of 16 individual sections of stained
glass to create the overall design. The Edwardian design was chosen from a
selection suggested to them and the coloured and textured glass was chosen
by them upon a home visit to discuss design and colours. The 16 panels in
the door replaced plain clear glass which was removed, the old putty was
cleaned out of the timber rebates and replaced with new white putty, the
windows were seated into this new putty and held in place with pins and
finished with a fillet of white putty.
